[REVIEW] YSL Rouge Pur Couture in shade 1 : Le Rouge

Hi there! I'm sorry i didn't post anything on 2015, i won't make excuses because that''s all my fault, my university life has been pretty much screwed up last year so i want to focused on it more last year. But now i'm baaack!! I have a lot of reviews to show you guys, from drugstore brands, middle brand, and high-end. I reaaaaly excited to show it to you!

Now for the first, let's start with the fancy one. This is my very first time purchased a high-end brand. Well, i don't know if you guys put YSL in a pricey-brand line, but for a university-student-who-hasn't-worked-yet like me it is a luxurious item. That's why i want to prove if it's worth the price. So, this is my review for Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in Shade 1 : Le Rouge.

My very first YSL purchase, yay!

I bought this at an event that held by YSL Indonesia on October last year, it was a make up class for fall look. And this is what i bring back home! I was thinking for purchasing the touche eclat, but ended up bought this, because i prefer finishing my make up with a bit of colour on the lips!

can you feel all those lady-like feeling by just staring at those engraved logo?

Well, at first, i really think that this packaging is so pretty! I love the gold colour it has and the glamorous feel it gave me when i first opened the box.

voila! first time opening it

The first thing i noticed when i opened the cap was the scent. it's not that strong, but you definitely could smell it. i don't know how to describe it, but it has the typical scent of my mom's lipstick back then when i messing up with my mom's make up (lol sorry mom). it's not a bad scent (for me), it has the fancy, posh feeling to it, but i can't spot exactly any other smell that represent it. But yeah i don't mind about it tho, i quite like it actually.

the oh-not-so-famous-three-letter-engravement in make up world

If you read my previous review about NYX SMLC, i've stated that i love nude colour. Well, i still am a sucker for those colour. But i was thinking for my first time splurging on a high-end one, maybe i'd better choose a more vibrant colour. And that's why i ended up on choosing the classic red one. There are many variations of the lipstick, but some of them is already discontinued, yet i really like the colour :(

I immediately try it on my lips and could see the colour already! it doesn't need too much product to make the colour comes out. It only took me 2 swipes of the lipstick and it's already that bright. What i like more is that the colour match my skin perfectly! I think this colour can match wide range of skin tone, from cold to warm.

When i first applied it on my lips, it feels velvety. not that creamy and not that hard, it's between both of them. i like how it builds up easily, and the result is also between matte and glossy, velvety? Just in the right consistency for me. But after a few minutes applying it, it become a bit sticky every time i put my lips together, still tolerable tho.

I didn't do any make up for the photos, because i always think how to wear the product as a daily product and i'm not the type that wear tons of make up everyday. So i ended up with just using a mascara and topped it with glasses. It's not that bad, don't you think? lol

And that's also the shameless me taking another pic of myself without the glasses lol i just really love the colour on my skin! it gave me those lady-like feel with a simple outfit and make up.

Anyway, the product's staying power is great! i mean, i can see it for a whole day if i didn't eat anything. But because i love food (so much), i'll eat something (or everything). And the best part of it that it'll leave a nice stain on your lips which will give you a nice hint of rose on your lips.

The downside is that you can see the line on the inner part of your lips by the time it wears off, and it looked really awkward when you talked to other people on that state if you haven't do touch up yet. like you're just putting the lipstick on your inner lips and it makes a line of it. Just, no.

So, the conclusion of this products are :
+ Nice packaging
+ Nice smell
+ Great staying power
+ Wide range of colour
+ Likely to suits wide range of skin tone
- Expensive
- Feels a bit sticky after applying
- Leave a line on the inner lips when wears off.

Will i re-buy this? Maybe. I'd like to tho, It's a great product, but it's expensive :((
